(see this users gallery) If I build another one, I would just use 3 layers of 1/4 ply and forget the fiberglassing. Just coat it in resin and paint it. There is too much prep for the fiberglassing especially around the edges. Lots of work for not. 3 layers of 1/4" sanded and coated in resin, then sanded smooth and primed and sprayed and cleared will yeild a surface like the bottom of a MC X Star. Thats supposed to be a good thing. The hell with all the fiberglass work and Kevlar, although I know I have a board that wont break. |
